UX Designer Co-reflection.

Introduction

Having the most important and realistic improvements implemented, I wanted to get more insights into the user experience of the tool. To do this I decided to do a co-reflection session with a senior UX designer from iO. I believed that getting a professional opinion from someone with a lot of experience in user experience design would give me good insights that could further improve the tool. This session would also help validate the changes I had already made and find any other areas that might need attention.

Abstract

I did a co-reflection with Dylan Fanego who is a senior UX designer from iO. I started by giving him an introduction to the project and its goal. I explained the concept and the specific problems I wanted to solve with the tool. I then walked him through the process of how the tool is used to generate pages and demonstrated each feature and functionality.

Dylan's first reaction was that the tool was really cool and something that would be great to even further develop after my internship. He focused on the design, layout, and usability of the tool and gave me feedback on each aspect. Dylan mentioned that the layout looks clear and clean which is ofcourse important for a good user experience. He also said that using the tool is very straightforward and easy, which means users can quickly understand how to use it without needing a lot of instructions. The way the tool and its options work make sense which shows that the design is intuitive.

He was also happy to see that the generated pages were responsive so they adapt well to different screen sizes and devices. This was important to him because it creates a consistent user experience across different platforms. The only feedback he had to make the tool look more interesting was to add icons next to the individual options.

Conclusion

This feedback was great to hear and it helped confirm that the new version of the interface was easy, straightforward, and clear. Dylan was very positive about the tool's design and usability and helped me confirm that the improvements were on the right track. His suggestion to add icons next to the individual options gave me a simple and nice way to make the tool more interesting. Overall the co-reflection session was very valuable as it gave me professional feedback that will help in further improving the tool.
